Great place to experience an authentic Jaffna meal. They have mostly kottu and pittu options. I would have preferred if they had an option of some plain roti or parata as they have a super selection of Jaffna curries. They do have yellow rice or plain pittu options but those curries would pair so well with a nice flaky parata or egg roti! We had the Cuttle fish kottu, Mutton pittu kottu, prawn kottu and mutton curry with plain pittu. They were all very good but the best was the prawn kottu for me. It was full of flavour and not too spicy. The mutton curry had pieces of liver which was a bit of a turn off for me but that could be because I’m not a fan of any type of liver. We also ordered a Jaffna fried prawn which was very good too. We ordered the fresh mango juice which was excellent. Unfortunately they didn’t have any coffee available for us to finish our meal. Which was a little strange since the place is called Coffee Colombo! But we were informed that the coffee machine was broken when we asked. The staff are great. Maybe not the friendliest but very quick and attentive. No small talk or PR.. just served a very crowded restaurant quickly and efficiently! Exactly how I prefer the service to be! Absolutely loved my visit! The chicken pittu kotthu was packed with flavor, perfectly cooked and wonderfully spiced. Paired it with a refreshing mango juice that was just the right balance of sweet and fresh, genuinely one of the best I’ve had! The service was friendly and the atmosphere great for a relaxed meal. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for delicious local Jaffna food! Meal type: Dinner Price per person: Rs 1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Visited this place for dinner after seeing a lot of social media hype as it’s “authentic Jaffna food”. We ordered Jaffna Crab Masala White Pittu and Prawns those are supposed to be signature dishes. Our expectation was much higher than the delivery. The carb itself was very small and no meat at all. Honestly, home made crabs were much better. Of course, we eat all the pittu with the crab gravy, coconut sambol and prawns fries. Overall, the food didn’t match the hype. It costed little over $2000 per person including 10% gratitude. You can try but keep your expectations low. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: Rs 2,000–3,000 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Pittu with Jaffna Crab Curry, Crab Gravy
