It'll do in a pinch for a relatively quick bite and a cup of coffee. Coffee is not anything to write home about here. It's good for a caffeine fix, but it isn't going to blow your mind. Pastries and breakfast items are ok. Again, nothing spectacular. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

The beating heart and soul of this beautiful town, very fitting for the historic corner building of Fairfax. Live music, great vibes, wonderful staff and amazing drinks

This is the best location to begin a walking tour of Fairfax. The roastery is open and spacious feeling with an attractive menu. But it all ends there. The people are friendly but not your friends. The food is eatable, but not memorable. And the espresso is amateurish. My latte was under-heated with espresso that was watery and lacking any flavor worth complimenting. If this were just a restaurant, I'd leave it at that. But this place is supposed to be about its coffee & espresso. I wanted to be impressed by something - anything - but The Coffee Roastery was unimpressive in almost every respect. This is my 3rd similar visit in two years. Probably not going to keep trying to see if the place has changed... Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5
