The true hidden gem is their daily rotation of brewed (drip) coffees, including rare single origin and specialty beans, many roasted in-house. The extensive selection of single origin beans and brewing instruments are excellent for take-home brewing and gifts. I hadn't been to Coffee Tree since pre-Covid so was excited to go there again after such a long hiatus. While the coffee and treats are fantastic and have always been great, the service is not and for that reason, I will not be going back. The older blonde woman who served me was simply, NOT nice. She couldn't even crack a smile and behaved like I was putting her out for having to take my order. While I understand dealing with customers all day can be unpleasant, I, on the other hand was very polite and respectful. It's just not okay to be treated so poorly. Coffee Tree Roastery in Bloor West Village leaves much to be desired. The ambiance is lackluster, with a dated interior that lacks the cozy charm one might expect from a neighborhood coffee shop. The service is slow and inattentive, making the overall experience rather frustrating. As for the coffee, it's mediocre at best. The beans seem over-roasted, resulting in a bitter taste that overshadows any nuanced flavors. Overall, Coffee Tree Roastery falls short in providing a satisfying coffee experience.
