The walk with a view of Sloane Square is what you can expect after dining at this restaurant. If you like the French cuisine, you should visit Colbert. This place offers you good entrecote, succulent steaks and kedgeree. Nicely cooked crème brûlée, parfait and soufflés are the tastiest dishes. You will hardly forget delicious coffee martini, rosé wine or French beer that you can taste. Great cappuccino, fresh juices or latte are worth a try here.

Choose between indoor and outdoor seating. The terrific hostess meets you at this spot all year round. People mention that the service is fine here. From the visitors' viewpoint, prices are affordable. There is a homey atmosphere and beautiful decor at this restaurant. Colbert has got Google 4.3 according to the guests' opinions.

Colbert remains a pleasant and dependable choice in Sloane Square, with its classic Parisian brasserie character, attractive interior and lively atmosphere. The setting has plenty of charm and feels equally suitable for a leisurely breakfast, lunch or relaxed meal with family and friends. The food was generally good and nicely presented, with familiar French dishes prepared in a traditional style. There were some enjoyable highlights, although a few dishes felt less memorable than expected and could have benefited from a little more refinement and consistency. Nothing was particularly disappointing, but given the reputation and location, the overall experience could have been a touch more polished. Service was courteous and professional, although at busier moments the pace and attention were somewhat uneven. The restaurant is clearly popular, and the atmosphere can become quite bustling, which adds energy but occasionally takes away from the otherwise relaxed brasserie experience. Overall, Colbert is still an enjoyable place with considerable character and one of Sloane Square’s most recognisable dining rooms. I would happily return, particularly for the atmosphere and location, while hoping for slightly greater consistency in both the kitchen and service next time. A pleasant experience overall and certainly worth visiting. Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I've been visiting Colbert for a while as it's been a favourite of mine. Until this week, when I had a pretty bad experience. Our waiter was competent, but seemed disinclined to actually provide an engaged "Service" (that "cherry-on-top" skill for which customers are now asked to pay an extra 15%). The food was glorious, as usual, but when I received the bill, I noticed a cover charge of £2.50pp. I'd never noticed this before, so asked the waiter who informed me that it was for customers in the restaurant area (as opposed to bar) to cover costs associated with table-cloths, providing bread (just to be clear - I didn't order bread; it was simply brought to the table), and general service. When I looked askance at him, he informed me that I could have it taken off the bill, if I liked. I have eaten on the bar side several times. They provide both bread and service, so essentially every person eating in the restaurant is paying £2.87 for the use of Colbert tablecloths (more astonishing is that the cover charges were added before the service was applied)!! I'm appalled by the lack of transparency and - sadly - am unlikely to be visiting again. Note to Colbert: it would be helpful (and transparent) if you could address this issue here on this platform for all your customers to see.
