How exciting to find a fabulous new restaurant off the main drag,away from the hustle of King St. From the outside there is silence, you open the doors and hear happy conversations and the harmony of an extremely well run restaurant. The food is artfully presented and the flavours are amazing. Our waiter Kieren explained every dish with expertise & also helped with our wine selection to compliment the dishes we had chosen. There wasn't anything I could fault, all of the staff were lovely. Every dish was piping hot, and a perfect amount of time between each dish. You should definitely try this fabulous new restaurant, you won't be disappointed. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

When you have such a stunning setting and high expectations as we had for Comedor, it’s a shock to experience bland, unexciting food and apathetic service. The issues here are easily fixed and judging by the reviews, which I ignored to try for myself, somebody there needs to take notice. Urgently need someone new on the tongs, serving dishes with complexity, deep flavours and ingenuity instead of watery, half-hearted nod to being ‘different’, and totally new floor staff with some energy, charm and who suit the vibe. Such a disappointment, but the solutions are totally doable. Brilliant location, fitout and core idea. That’s the hard bit! Fix the rest and there’ll be 4.9’s instead of 4.2.
