When I first heard about a café that serves only toast-based dishes, I’ll admit I was skeptical. How many variations of bread and butter can one place offer? As it turns out, when you do one thing and do it perfectly, you don’t need a massive menu. Located just off the main strip, this tiny toast haven is proof that quality trumps quantity. There was a short wait to get a table (about 5 minutes), which wasn’t long at all. I ordered the Pork and Egg Sandwich with Cheese, and it was nothing short of spectacular. That river of molten, gooey cheese oozed out from between the crispy bread and the savory pork patty. It was the kind of cheese pull that makes foodies weak in the knees and absolutely perfect for posting. But beyond the aesthetics, the flavor was incredible. The pork was juicy and well-seasoned, the egg was cooked to a perfect jammy consistency, and the bread was toasted to a buttery, golden crunch that held up against all that glorious filling. It’s a texture and flavor bomb that cheese lovers will dream about long after their trip. Despite the rush, the staff remained incredibly friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for a massive breakfast menu, this isn’t your spot. But if you want one of the best sandwiches of your life served with a side of great hospitality, add this place to your itinerary immediately. We stopped by Comida Toast for breakfast and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a small, popular spot with a constant flow of locals, which is always a good sign. The egg toast was simple but very well executed — soft, fluffy eggs, perfectly toasted bread, and well-balanced flavors. Nothing overcomplicated, just honest, comforting breakfast food done right.
