We came to this spot after 11pm on a Sunday right before Memorial Day Monday. We saw people waiting but we didn’t think anything of it since it was our first time. We waited about 20+ minutes for our order to be completed. But let me say, it was well worth the wait. The staff was busting their butt the entire time pushing order after order. I could never do what they did. The food was fantastic and prepared perfectly. Whenever I return to Austin, I will heavily consider going back strictly because of the staff. It might not mean much, but good job staff! My husband and I stopped there after visiting the Elephant room. The employee's were attentive and welcomed us. We got our drinks in a couple of minutes (with my diet coke labeled*) and our food came out shortly after. The staff was friendly and polite. Food was very tasty! I appreciate their hospitality! Had a great experience at Burger Bar Congress. The burgers were on point, super fresh and cooked exactly right. The fries were crispy and didn’t feel greasy at all. The shakes deserve their own callout. Thick, flavorful, and actually taste homemade, not like something out of a machine. Definitely worth getting one with your meal. Big shoutout to Bania who took care of us. She was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience better. Service like that stands out. Overall, solid spot downtown.
