Worst meal I’ve ever had. I’ve never walked out of a restaurant and left food behind, never mind TWO courses. When complaint was made, manager argued, no apology or understanding. Took starter off the bill but only when asked to. Would’ve been ok if I’d had so much of an apology. Been met with better consideration in places where drinks have arrived late, never mind paying over the odds and being grunted at for a £15 untouched starter. recently dined at Contrast Brasserie with group of friends
… with high expectations, given its reputation and price point. Unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory.
We ordered the 35 days aged "premium ribeye steak" which was just OK
And chateaubriand 35 days aged beef ,which was one of the most expensive items on the menu. To my disappointment, the meat was hard to chew, Instead of melting in the mouth ,as expected ,tasteless, it seems that it was not grilled the write way
For the price, I expected a high-quality, flavorful cut, but what I received was subpar.
The manager, instead of apologizing and taking note, behaved very unprofessionally, accused us of tasting the meat incorrectly,
We are quite a lot of traveling people who have visited different restaurants in many countries of the world.
If you want to try a great steak do not go there
PS chips with truffle Parmesan cheese were wonderful
