We had such a wonderful cooking experience today in Sri Lanka. From the very first moment, we felt completely at home. Everything was explained so clearly and with so much patience and passion. It truly made the experience special. Her mother was also there to help, and she was incredibly kind and warm, which added such a lovely, personal touch to the whole experience. The food we prepared was absolutely delicious, without a doubt the best meal we’ve had during our entire trip here. And the setting… just breathtaking. Cooking while enjoying a stunning view of Lion Rock made it even more unforgettable. Thank you for such a beautiful and memorable experience. Everything about this experience was incredible. Sumi and her team were welcoming, encouraging and enabled us all to be part of creating a delicious meal. She was so kind and patient with our children (8 and 11), giving them time to try different techniques in the preparation and cooking. We were all involved with making 8 dishes from scratch which led to our feast at the end. We all loved it and would recommend to anyone wanting a full, authentic Sri Lankan cooking (and eating) experience.

I had such an amazing experience at Cook with Sumi! From start to finish, everything was perfect. Sumi is incredibly warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, fun, relaxed, and authentic. The food we prepared was absolutely delicious, and I loved learning about the local ingredients and traditional Sri Lankan cooking techniques. It didn’t feel like a typical class, but more like cooking with a friend in a beautiful home setting. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Sri Lanka — it was truly one of the highlights of my trip. Thank you, Sumi, for such a memorable time!
