Cookies restaurant is the most popular fast-food option in Kosti, with pizzas, sandwiches, and fried chicken on their menu. Unfortunately for non-arabic customers, they don't have a translated menu. So we relied on apps for translation, which I think limited our choices. Despite the staff not speaking English, they put effort into communicating, and we were able to have a good experience. I visited the restaurant at midday, so the tables outside were not being used due to the heat. However, the restaurant has a bit sitting area inside, and it was well-ventilated. The restaurant was pretty empty. As per Sudanese culture, midday is not a common mealtime. Perhaps it will have more people around during Fatur or after sunset, not sure. Despite having a big menu, many items were missing. At the time we visited, sandwiches and juices were unavailable. I am not sure if it was something related to the time, or whether these items are often unavailable. In terms of prices and portions, I found the portions to be well served and the prices quite good. A large pizza was on average 2,500-3,000, depending on toppings. Meal type: Lunch
