What an incredible experience we had at Coppie! We experienced the omakase menu for two people seated at the beautiful bar. Each dish impressed us and the care taken in crafting unique and delicious dishes was amazing. Our favorites were the bonito dish and the chicken “wings” stuffed with Italian sausage. The wine pairing and various cocktails were delicious and thoughtful as well. What truly made the experience was engaging with the staff and watching them delicately navigate dinner service. Each person that we interacted with was incredibly kind and passionate about their work, sharing interesting details about each course. So far, this has been our favorite restaurant experience in Japan and we cannot wait to be back! We cannot recommend dinner here enough. The food was some of the most interesting and delicious food we had in Japan. Modern twists with incredible quality ingredients. Spectacle to watch the chefs cook. Very fun environment. Young crew doing amazing cuisine. We had a group so had separate table ~ but counter is where the action is. Chicken wings stuffed with Italian sausage to chocolate ganache with strawberry wasabi sorbet ~ this is cutting edge Izakaya fare. Wines and other beverages including 12 spices ginger ale are carefully considered. Take a good friend or romantic equivalent and have yourself a great time.
