After you have seen Golden Belt Historic District, come to this restaurant. All the guests like the menu that offers wonderful Japanese cuisine at Corner Yaki. Try perfectly cooked bao, yaki udon and chicken dumplings to form your opinion about this place. The truth is that you will really enjoy good pancakes.
The courteous staff shows a high level of hospitality at this spot. Nice service is something clients appreciate here. A number of visitors have noticed that the dishes have affordable prices. There is lovely atmosphere at this restaurant. But google users haven't given Corner Yaki a high rating.

Food is full of flavor and really put a smile of my face. The Miso Spicy noodles really warms up the stomach. The Takoyaki balls were like explosions of flavor. The Mushroom Banh Mi were surprisingly good. Very savory and bright. My personal favorite were the Dashi Fries. Great balance of sweet(yum yum sauce) and savory(nori and salt). I really enjoyed it. Great place to try out. Order type: Dine in Meal type: Lunch

Nice Asian food pop-up in the Durham Food Hall but I had to give the food only bc I really appreciated the excellent tofu in their rice bowl and the service was very nice; however, there are a bunch of raw pieces of carrots, daikon, & cabbage that are DYING for some sauce. It’s honestly hard to eat large, dry pieces of these veggies. If you start pickling them Asian-style or adding some sauce to them, this bowl would be AMAZING! (The rice and tofu were delicious but there’s only so many raw root veggies one can eat). Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I had a great experience at Corner Yaki. Greg took care of me and was genuinely helpful the entire time—friendly without being over the top, and really attentive. The food was cooked by Teo, and he absolutely knows what he’s doing. Everything came out hot, seasoned perfectly, and cooked exactly the way it should be. Overall, solid service, great food, and a smooth visit from start to finish. I’d definitely come back. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
