I ordered a Large White Mocha. I know Costa Coffee does not officially offer a White Mocha, but every other Costa I’ve visited has always made it for me using white chocolate and coffee shots, prepared the same way as their regular mocha. They even asked if I wanted chocolate powder on top, and I said yes, which made me confident they understood exactly what I had ordered. Instead, I received a large cup that was at least one-third, if not nearly half, filled with foam. I didn’t order a cappuccino. About five minutes later, when the drink had cooled down enough to drink and I had already left the store, I took a sip and immediately realized it wasn’t a White Mocha at all. It was a regular mocha made with dark chocolate. The taste was completely different from what I have consistently received at other Costa Coffee locations. The drink felt rushed and poorly prepared, with little attention paid to my order. For the price customers pay, I expect to receive what I ordered, not something completely different. Very disappointing experience and not up to the standard I have come to expect from Costa Coffee. I would not return to this particular location.
