The group I was with had the croquetas and the cottonwood platter as appetizers. The croquetas were quite good, but the cottonwood platter has some issues. Some of the grapes had started to go off and some of the meats had an off flavor. I had the ribeye with a Caesar salad. The salad is a wedge salad and I am not a big fan of having to use a knife to eat a salad. The dressing was also very vinegary which is interesting as Caesar dressing doesn't have vinegar. The ribeye was a disappointment. It wasn't seasoned enough and was only cooked on one side. The presentation side had grill marks and a light crust but the reverse side was just grey no crust or sear at all. The beef was a little chewy and that makes me believe that they were using choice grade. The mashed potatoes that were served with it were grainy and either undercooked or something. And then there was the service. Now the waiter we had was nice, but not very attentive. I was the only one of the group to order a steak and was the only one not to get a knife to cut the steak. While several people in the group got alcohol I got a diet coke. I had to ask the waiter for a refill and it sat empty for quiet a long time. It was empty before we got our food and remained that way for a while, while the people that got alcohol were asked several times if they wanted a refill. People that got water was refilled usually by some random person, they were waiters I think they were food runners. Overall, I would try this restaurant again. Perhaps if it was just my wife and I maybe we could get better service, and I would probably get a pasta or chicken dish as I am not sure they can do better with their beef dishes. A group of 7 adult individuals had brunch on Sunday December 22. Had reservations. The server did a good job, quite attentive and was friendly and was overall 4 to 5 star service. I had the Cottonwood Grille eggs Benedict. This choice was not the worst eggs Benedict I ever had but certainly not the best and barely warm. I would rare the food about 2 to 3 stars. I probably won't be going back anytime soon.
