I so enjoyed my breakfast,the corned beef hash was wonderful!! I really like the atmosphere, souvenirs and the little farm area outside for kids. Talk to the chickens..or whatever..lol The food and drinks are good. But the online menu is Horrible..Hard to see from the glare on the menu, bad photo job. Other than that..it's great

Good, local, right off the highway, country like diner. Huge portions (I mean huge) for average prices. I pulled up Yelp while on a recent quick road trip for a easy pull off for breakfast and chose Country Cousin. I want you to close your eyes, envision a restaurant, in the country, called Country Cousin Restaurant, that has been open since 73', well, this looks exactly like that. I did not expect to walk in to a super clean, fake 50's like diner nor a modern place either. I expected older, cluttered like my late grandma's home (she was a, um, antique collector), not grungy, but not super clean Restaurant. I expected good home like diner cooking and they did not disappoint. We ordered the Chicken Fried Steak & Biscuits and Gravy (the diet started afterwards). Both were MASSIVE. I wish I had asked about half portions, because it seemingly is something they do offer (FYI, I suggest doing that). The chicken fried steak was so perfectly crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. Well seasoned. The gravy was also delicious. Their apple butter is definitely a must. There is also a full bar, if so you need that option as well. Servers were all friendly and service was quick and efficient. If you are driving by the area, I recommend stopping in for a bite to eat.
