this place is genuinely heaven to me. like actually. insanely good food, super sweet people and a great chill atmosphere. they were only serving takeout when we went to eat there but honestly we didn’t mind because of how mindblowing the food is. we got a chicken tikka and a butter chicken, would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting valence Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Every once in a while you just get lucky. Last night I was in Le Puy en Velay I was not lucky and ended up eating some very mediocre Indian Food. Tonight in Velance, wanting get the Le Puy lack of flavors off of my palate I randomly chose this amazing hole in the wall. I’m not certain what they do when it is raining, I’m guessing it’s just takeout, but tonight was magical. Nothing beats sitting in a quiet alleyway on pretty red chairs eating really, really good tandoori and an awesome biryani. I also ordered a delicious mushroom dish which I ended up talking to go. The portions were too generous. You can tell a place cares deeply about the quality of their food when they sprinkle a few pistachio crumbs on your mango lassi. No one says you have to do that and most places don’t but the Countryside Valence pays that kind of attention to culinary details. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian options: Mushroom dish was fantastic.
