What a find! Last year while in the area, we discovered The Courthouse Inn & Restaurant. We had a delightful meal in the courtyard amongst gorgeous flowers, jade tables (brought here on a ship from China), sculptures and ironwork. We are back and I informed hubby that we were eating there again. The restaurant serves only vegetarian dishes so my meat-loving spouse would not choose this restaurant on his own. But last night he thoroughly enjoyed the Margherita Pizza and house salad. I choose the special, Lasagna with house salad. We brought Peanutbutter Pie and Carrot Cake back to the hotel for a late night dessert. The interior decor is opulent: mirrored tiles, guilding, and festive art. Tables are covered in copper. Copper cabinetry behind the dessert display is hammered and like nothing I’ve seen before. Be sure to excuse yourself to the ‘powder room’. I giggled as I took a selfie in the ladies room. It will wow you - think Liberace. lol. Before we left, a gentleman began playing acoustic guitar, soft and inviting. I posted lots of pics on my Facebook page. I’m a small town girl, don’t profess to be a foodie, but I would rate this as my favorite restaurant. Enjoy! (and yes, the delectable desserts are for dining guests. A limited amount are made so they are specially created for them.)
