We had a delightful and delicious breakfast on what we thought would be a too-busy Saturday morning. However, we didn't have to wait for a table. Our server was nice and very efficient. The person that was selling take-home meals (Sara) was wonderful to talk to. All in all, we couldn't have had a better experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We go to Cracker Barrel pretty often, and the Dry Ridge location is definitely our favorite. The staff here is always kind and welcoming, which is one of the reasons we keep coming back. Today our server, Karisa C., was wonderful! She was so sweet, attentive, and just very personable. She made sure we had everything we needed and made our visit really enjoyable!! Great service like that makes a difference. We will definitely be back! Meal type: Breakfast Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Having waited tables in the past, I 110% agree that the service & restaurant industry is difficult to balance and keep everyone happy. Having served at Cracker Barrel specifically, I get it. I get the busy times, I know the order of importance tasks & expectations are given, I know the ins and outs. I have a great deal of sympathy and empathy for servers. Some things are out of your control but there are things you can do to make up for it and keep your guests content... especially when you have a mom eating alone with two small children and an infant. We don't have time for your shit. We started off the experience by checking in with the hostess to get on the list to be seated. We were told to expect about 15-25 minutes. Cool. That time passed and I went up to see how much longer we had. I was told they couldn't find our name on the wait list and "they might've forgotten to add it" and began another waiting period of 20 minutes. We get seated at 9:00 and greeted immediately, but no drink order taken. She walks away (???) and doesn't return until 9:14. We order our meals and drinks and I asked for some bread since the kids are hungry and we're already an hour deep into this ordeal. Drinks come to the table, no bread. 10 minutes pass and I see our server cleaning off her other tables. I kindly ask for the bread again, thinking maybe she forgot. Finally get bread. I'm usually not one to complain but after a half hour of waiting for our meal, I ask for the manager to see what's up and semi complain. Because, let's be honest, the managers used to yell at the cooks when a meal ticket hit 15 minutes, much less 30. We were now at almost closing time and one of only tables left. This is not a busy time. He laughs it off and says, "the longer you wait, the hungrier you get, then the happier you are when your food finally gets here" ...instead of apologizing. Our food gets to the table at 9:54. By now the baby is screaming and my two older kids are short on patience. Relatable. We eat... rushed. Because they close at 10:00 and bedtime is a thing. Our waitress is clearly distracted by end of the night side-work and cleaning up. My older daughter waves her over and tells her she's taking her momma out for her birthday and asked if we can have a piece of chocolate cake. Met with an eye roll. We go to pay for our food and the cashier asks me if we are the last table in the restaurant because she "is so tired and wants to leave." In closing.. horrible service. Professionalism out the window. Mediocre food not worth the wait. As mentioned, I don't typically voice my complaints at restaurants but take this as constructive criticism and run with it. For being the only chain restaurant in the county that isn't fast food, you really should step up your game. Or at least apologize when you suck or meet the bare minimum standards. PS: I'm sure Brad's wife wouldn't have let this happen on her watch. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store
