We love Crawford's! I am a bit bummed they took the XXXHot wings off the menu. If you complained about the XXXHot wings and are reading this review, I hate you. THE BEER CHEESE IS AMAZING

There were a couple of missteps that prevented Crawford's Corner Pub from getting that 4th star, and my recommendation. We were at ISU visiting my daughter, and we needed a spot to grab breakfast before we left town. As I always do, I turned to Yelp!, and sorted my options by rating. This place came with a 4.5 star average rating so we figured why not?!? Crawford's is just an Irish themed neighborhood tavern, and if I lived in the area, I'm sure this wouldn't be my only time there. The place is quaint, and was definitely filled with locals.. they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, and their menu features a few surprises that stray from the average breakfast menu. They do serve the standards - pancakes, French toast, eggs and bacon, etc... They also have 3 unique omelette offerings - of which I ended up ordering the Spicy Mommasita. It was served with steak, onions, peppers, spicy habanero cheese and drizzled with a mango/jalapeño sauce. The omelette itself was very good and had some legit spiciness to it - so keep that in mind if you don't like it hot. It was not served with hash browns, but rather 4 pieces of Texas Toast. The toast was completely dry, and there was no butter or jelly on the table. If you're going to serve someone dry toast, you really need to make sure they have something to put on it?!?  Simple mistake, and had it been the only one?!?! Alas, we continue.... My wife ordered an egg, bacon and cheese sandwich also on Texas Toast. It wasn't bad, but it was very meh.... Nothing special about it whatsoever. My daughter ordered the Hangover Helper which featured hash browns, an open face biscuit, eggs, sausage and bacon - all smothered in sausage gravy. It was a nice large portion that didn't disappoint. It was good, but not great. When we got there, we ordered coffee.. the cream and sugar were on the table, and that's exactly what we got.... One. Cup. Of coffee. I'm not trying to sound like a dick, but you pay $1.50 for bottomless coffee (as it's listed on the menu), and you just kind of anticipate that means more than one cup!?! Again, an issue that is easily fixed by just having a server walk around with a pot of coffee for refills? C'mon man.. we were hangin' and really needed caffeine!! Lastly, we were seated at a table with no tableware. When we did get our coffee, my wife ended up stirring in her cream and sugar with the straw from her water.. not a big deal if we still weren't waiting for silverware after we all got our meals. There's nothing worse than having your meal sitting in front of you - you're hungover and starving - and you have no silverware to eat your food with?!?! Just another dumb mistake that, unfortunately, will most likely prevent me from returning to Crawford's.... That being written, their locals will keep this place afloat. I'm sure I'm not their target audience, and that's okay.... The omelette was pretty legit though..
