After enjoying Durham Civic Center Complex, visit this bar which is not far away. It's a must to taste delicious craft beer, liqueur or bourbon when visiting Criterion. This is my favorite bar in town due to their great whiskey and beer on tap. Staff has always been very friendly to me, too.

Usually the first stop on #BCBR Thursday night beer run. Love the atmosphere and the $3 beers. Best to bring cash.

I really want to give Criterion more stars. I've been coming here on/off for a few years, but find it harder and harder to go. The atmosphere itself is great, beer is great, upstairs with the bumper pool and second bar is cool, but what is up with the bartenders?! They are unbelievably rude every single time we go. There are so many other cool places in Durham with friendly staff, so I think we will be going elsewhere from now on. It's a shame because I really wanted to love this place.
