If you're British and Welsh cuisine lover, come here. To try perfectly cooked sirloins, meat pies and chicken tikka is a truly good idea. Do not go away without tasting good cheesecakes, pudding and ice cream. If you want to taste some delicious ale, lager or gin, this bar is a decent choice for you. Fab pub,cosy and friendly, dogs welcome in half. Reasonably priced, the meals are large, 1 could of served 2, with a extra on the side. 3 mains a side and a drink each cost £55. We was running late because of the train, quick call and they kept the table. All gone made food, check the lamb cawr. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section

Staying in Penally for a coupe of days and went to the Cross Inn this evening to have dinner. Arrived around 6:30 and asked the person behind the bar at what time did they stop serving food. His response was “you mean when”. Not understanding his response I asked again what time they were serving food until. “You mean when”. A local walked up to the bar and he turned away and served the local before coming back. I asked again to which he responded the same way. Thinking I had got this I asked when are you serving food until tonight. “Fully booked”. Good for you I said. Can you fit in a little one, I am on my own. We have turned away 20to 30 people already. It was 6:30. Doubt that but what could I do. Asked for a pint of the Gower Gold. Oh, you means “The Gower”. I don’t mind that they were fully booked but his arrogance and rudeness was and is completely unnecessary. I live in a very tourist village and understand frustration but there is no place for rudeness, and arrogance like that ultimately ends in disaster. Had a pint of “The Gower” which I have to say was very good and went to the Overlander Inn to try and get food. Very welcoming and the food was great. Would recommend here for good service and good food.

We arrived for our booked table at 5.30pm, we had eaten our starters and a main and was going to have a look at the desserts, at 6.30pm the main man came to us and said he didnt want to rush us but wanted our table as the people who were on it next were waiting to be seated they were not due in until 7pm the older server said we still had half an hour left of our time and we didnt need to rush off, we felt we had no choice but to go, by the time we were to order pudding and then it get put on our table we would have to rush to eat it just so the next sitting could sit there this was out of order, they lost our custom on 2 desserts, we will not be coming back here, not a relaxed dining area Price per person: £30–40 Vegetarian offerings: Not sure
