(1/5) Very disappointing experience at Crown Tikka. I visited with my friend and her husband, and almost everything about the meal went wrong. We ordered butter chicken and asked for four pieces of naan (equivalent to two full naans), but instead they brought four huge naans. When we pointed it out, there was confusion before they finally cancelled the extra order. We then ordered mutton biryani, but they first served only plain biryani rice without any meat. When we questioned it, we were told that’s how it comes. Later they brought a separate bowl, but it wasn’t even mutton. To make things worse, there was no raita included, and we were told we had to buy it separately. The biggest disappointment was the food itself. The butter chicken and biryani were both far below expectations. The taste was bland, the quality was poor, and honestly, we couldn’t enjoy the meal at all. We ended up paying around SAR 110, and while the price wasn’t the issue, the food simply wasn’t worth it. The only positive part of the experience was the manager, who was polite and professional, and another lady who served us was very kind. Unfortunately, the staff member who took our order seemed unfamiliar with the menu, which led to several unnecessary issues. I didn’t want to embarrass the manager by complaining extensively in person, but I feel other customers should know what to expect. There are many better places to eat for the same price. Unless they seriously improve both their food quality and staff training, I don’t see this restaurant keeping customers for long. Price per person: SAR 40–60 Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

I visited this restaurant after seeing a lot of hype from social media influencers. Unfortunately, the advertisements were misleading, and the overall experience lacked credibility. The restaurant is relatively small, and the atmosphere was uncomfortably warm. It seemed that the air conditioning was either not working properly or not turned on at all. As for the service, we were not provided with a proper menu, and there was no QR code available on the table. The menu itself was limited and lacked variety. We ordered a mixed appetizer platter that included vegetable spring rolls, cheese-filled mashed potato balls, tandoori chicken pieces, and vegetable samosas. Overall, the appetizers were acceptable to some extent. We also ordered plain biryani rice, which was very ordinary and not cooked properly. In addition, we tried the Chicken Tikka Masala and a new dish called Chai Chicken, which was by far the worst dish we had. Honestly, it was a disappointing experience in every aspect: the venue, the service, the professionalism of the staff, and the quality of the food. The restaurant resembled anything but an authentic Indian restaurant. I would strongly recommend hiring an Indian chef to provide a better and more authentic dining experience. To make matters worse, the prices were unreasonable for the quality offered. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this restaurant. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: SAR 140–160

This is an Indian restaurant in name only; it completely lacks the authentic taste of India. The Butter Chicken is loaded with excessive red coloring, and the Biryani is completely dry—it offers absolutely no flavor whatsoever. This is, without a doubt, the worst Indian restaurant I have ever visited. Food: 1 Service: 4
