My Dad took my mom, my cousin and I here in November. The food and service were both great and the experience was fun. It is pretty spendy but we all left full and I will go back again!

Searching for a casual, yet traditional English tea place to take my mom during a recent visit, and found Crown and Crumpet Cafe. It's been over a week since my visit and I'm already excited about scheduling another visit. There's limited indoor and outdoor seating, so make a ressie if it's the weekend! I had trouble making my reservation online so I called and was taken care of. Our server and all the staff were SO nice, patient and pleasant with us, especially since my mom has a hard time making decisions in new places. I ordered Tea for One (with vegetarian items for me) and a Chicken Pot Pie for mom. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Mom said the pot pie was yummy, although maybe could have been heated more thoroughly. The tea was amazing - I selected the Paris which was a smooth and flavorful black tea. (I'd go for a daily spot of tea if I lived nearby!) Mom ordered the a peach tea which was good but mine was the favorite. This is a perfect place for a special event or special visit!
