Food: l am having a great time experiencing all the different foods, just eating like one of the local some dishes are some strange you just must try them, there was... maybe one dish my whole stay I didn't prefer otherwise I enjoy my food experience in Portugal. Service: The people were so friendly and seemed happy to see you and genuinely concerned with your comfort. Ambiance: what can I say, some establishments are modern while others traditional.

I would give Cruzes Credo five stars for the food, but I won't be returning due to the inexcusably bad service we received last night. From the beginning of our visit I could tell the staff were busy and not enjoying the work that night. We were curtly told to sit outside and the waiter then came back 10 minutes later and simply demanded that we "Tell [him] the drinks." We then proceeded to wait for over an hour for food without any explanation or attention from the waitstaff. The couple ahead of us, also foreign, grew visibly impatient at the wait and complained. I'm fairly sure they left without getting food. A Portuguese pair that had arrived about 20-30 minutes after us had already been served food, which made the fact that none of us had been served feel intentional. After over an hour of waiting we inquired with another waiter, who explained that they had two large parties inside and were overwhelmed. According to him, many parties had also ordered the same dishes, which makes think our food got diverted in order to serve the larger groups at the same time. We received an appetizer a few minutes later, but it would be another 20 minutes before we received food. When we asked for the bill, our main waiter asked if we wanted dessert, and when we declined and briefly mentioned that the wait the had been rather long, he dropped a utensil onto my mother's plate, smirked, and said that it "wasn't on purpose." He gave us the bill a few minutes later without any discussion or interaction. I understand being exhausted by tourists, but we were easy, friendly and very patient. I live in Europe and don't  expect American standards of service, but this was beyond the pale.
