By far the best sushi I’ve tried in Monterey! The sushi is so fresh, soft, and literally melts in your mouth. Definitely a must try! If you want to try the same sushi in the picture, go to the sushi bar and ask for SAI. Tell him, “I want Miguel’s Secret Sushi.” He knows exactly how to make it and has it written down on a piece of paper. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $10–20

Wonderful sushi restaurant with high quality fresh grade sushi and sashimi. Congenial, warm and friendly staff. The restaurant was quite busy this evening and several folks were picking up online take out orders. Crystal Fish has received a several restaurant awards. The star of this restaurant is the high quality menu items. Tonight I enjoyed miso soup, seaweed salad, sushi dinner with a California Roll. Save room for dessert -- i enjoyed Green Tea Ice Cream. I highly recommend Crystal Fish. Put it on your list for this week. Walked in and was seated immediately by friendly, soft spoken staff. Good recommendations were given about different drinks and we ordered 4 separate rolls: Philly, California, Mango, and Sweet Potato. All 4 were scrumptious, my personal favorite being the Philly roll. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Soda does come by the can but that wasn’t an issue. Presentation of sushi is always very cute. Ordered mochi ice cream and the portions for those were smaller, but tempura cheesecake is a large portion (and delicious). Overall 9/10. Don’t let the look of the awning turn you away, this spot is filled with good people ready to make you some good sushi.
