For 20 years we have been going to “die Cucina” with the family, as we call Ristorante San Marco. The restaurant is run by two brothers who prepare authentic Italian cuisine with their chefs and families. The food is therefore typically Italian, tasty - even if the menu has been rather manageable and unchanged for many years. In addition to the classic Italian starters/antipasti, soups and salads, there are also selected beautiful main courses. The desserts are also homemade and always delicious. If you want pizza, you will also find it on the menu. In my opinion, dishes from the daily menu, such as porcini mushrooms in various variations, are recommended, although not cheap. In general, the price level is a bit high - but probably still just acceptable for most guests. Since the restaurant is on the ground floor of the Hotel zum Stiftswingert, there are often hotel guests at the tables. A telephone reservation is therefore always recommended. Finally: The wine list is extensive - if you want beer, you will be served. ;-) Parking: There are a few narrow parking bays in front of the outdoor terrace of Ristorante Cucina San Marco. Wheelchair accessibility: You have to climb a few steps to get into the restaurant through the main entrance. The entrance via the hotel is at ground level. The toilets are also barrier-free.
