Lake Shore Place is a great attraction for tourists who come to eat at this bar after long walks. CURRENT specializes in Mediterranean cuisine. Here you will be offered nicely cooked ribeye, Caesar salads and crabs. Many people visit this place to taste good pancakes, French toasts and biscuits. This place is famous for delicious wine, beer or martinis. At this spot, visitors may drink good coffee.
The great location of this bar makes it easy to reach by any transport. The cute staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Service at CURRENT is something one can call fine. A number of guests say that the dishes have adequate prices. You will definitely appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and homey decor. But google users haven't given this place a high rating.

The waiter for breakfast time (Asian male) is inattentive and slow to provide service. My family and I stayed at the hotel and 3 days in a row his service for breakfast time was extremely poor. This is to the point that on one day, we had a 1 hour time limit for breakfast, which is pretty standard I’d say, but the seating alone took 15 minutes and taking food order took another 15. We ended up having 10 minutes to eat on a one hour time allowance. Unfortunately cannot recommend if staying at the hotel due to poor timing and bad service.

I want to take the time out to shout out our bar tender Kerry . Kerry was amazing and took care of us at the bar. Growing up in the south we are big on hospitality and Kerry embodied that. He made us feel like family. Kerry pours with his heart and the drinks he made us were nothing short of amazing. Even when we asked for our own special drinks he was attentive and took his time to make sure we were satisfied. Kerry runs that bar so smoothly and does it with a smile. This company is lucky to have him (give that man a a raise) . Secondly the food at current was so delicious . From the Lox bagel, the burger was cooked perfectly. I added bacon jam on mine and the flavor was awesome. All of the food suggestions even the crispy green beans were my favorite . Even if I don’t stay at the wade again when I do visit Chicago again I will visit current to eat and catch up with Kerry. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Other

My boyfriend had made us a reservation mind you 2 weeks in advanced and we waited over half an hour for our table. The staff were just seating people as they came not even asking if they had a reservation which I believe caused a massive issue leading to the people with reservations not even getting their tables. We weren’t offered any water and the person who sat us didn’t even say a word. Our waiter finally came over to get us water and was nice enough to warn us we wouldn’t get our food until another house later. We decided to leave and alert the people behind us line because the lack of communication was ridiculous. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
