Drove 2 1/2 hours to play golf at Avila Beach, I knew I couldn't leave town without having a fish and chips and a clam chowder. Well we found the best spot to fit our needs. My friend had the Habenero Bacon cheeseburger with a pouched egg, he said it was delicious and it looked amazing. I also added a strawberry field specialty drink with some mint leaves ð. Have one with your meal, you'll love it! We went in the middle of a Saturday so it wasn't a surprised there were a fair amount of people. The 6 of us were 2 adults, 2 teens, and 2 toddlers. I say that to explain the spacing. We used 2 highchairs, and when we positioned them both at the end of our booth, we ended up blocking the walkway. I think partially that's just because space is limited in beach towns. We tried fish/chips, chicken strips and fries, a burger, fish tacos, and a shared plate of nachos. Everything tasted fresh and good, but the chips from the nachos were really thin, which isn't my preference, but it also makes it hard to pick up other food on the plate with a chip that breaks all the time. The alcoholic drinks were ok but made tasted different from other places. The prices were a little high but we expected that. We ended up spending ~$120 for 3 adult meals, 2 kid meals, 3 fountain drinks, and 2 mixed drinks, not including the tip. They do display their menu outside the front door in a glass case. The service was friendly, attentive, and and accommodating to my toddlers. We were initially given a 30 minute wait time (despite there being roughly 6-7 open tables and booths) and it ended up only being about 15 The atmosphere was ok. When you have a wait time you start looking around and checking the place out. There're a few metal marine animal figurines, but that's about it. Kudos for having a full bar with 6-8 flat-screen tvs and for playing the Olympics with different events simultaneously.
