Personally know guy who works behind the scenes James does outstanding job in order to help prepping those sandwiches In terms of food I ordered roast beef sandwich it was top shelf , young lady on the counter helped me with choosing chips it was spectacular, and extra dry ginger ale was cherry on the top . Highly recommend this place . Food is so good it will want you to order more than one . Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $20–30 Recommended dishes: Roast Beef

The Rabe sandwich was satisfactory. JFK's assassin will be unearthed before I understand why the Chicken sandwich has an air of exclusivity. The demographics of this area, I suppose, justify why this has a cult following--if you know soul food, this is not Fried chicken that deserves a waitlist. I ordered with lettuce only and had to add the French onion dip to experience any flavor, which really helped the bland chicken. My last experience was ordering $40 of delivery last week. 5 minutes prior to the delivery time I requested, the tracking was disabled. I called Cutty's and was told a driver had not been assigned...so it occurred to no one to call, while my food just sat there. And the woman didn't offer any resolution, apologies, just "there is no driver". Between Brookline Village, Washington square and Coolidge Corner, there are plenty of other restaurants that will exhibit care as to whether you receive your order or not and who have a better product, sans pseudo-hype.
