We came to Den24 Wokingham as a group of friends specifically to watch the World Cup match between Netherlands and Japan. To secure seats and support the venue, we arrived early at 7:30 PM, ordered a full meal, and kept ordering beers continuously throughout the evening. Before ordering our last round of drinks, we explicitly asked the staff about the closing time. The waiter assured us that the pub would stay open until the "end of the game." Trusting this, we happily ordered another round of full pints. However, around 10:00 PM (with 10 minutes left of the first half), another staff member abruptly approached us and said they were closing in 10 minutes. We were completely shocked. We were forced to chug our freshly served, full pints of beer within minutes. We understand that pubs have standard closing times and licensing hours. However, it is completely unacceptable for the staff to give misleading promises just to make a sale, only to kick us out right after taking our money. This ruined our entire evening and felt like a complete rip-off. We hope management looks into this communication issue. Price per person: £70–80 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We went to Den 42 last night for a date night. The food was tasty, great choice of drinks including cocktails! We played shuffleboard and it was a lot more fun than I was expecting. Wokingham needed a place like this- highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Had some of their cocktails, very nice and well done. Didnt have food but the people around us seemed to have good looking dishes. Price per person: £10–20
