About 4 or 5 years ago, I heard an advertisement on the Bill Meyer show about Diner 62. I thought to myself, this is probably some good people, so I went to check them out. I absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere. I would tell everyone I know in my area to go here, they have great food and service. They seem like good people. But I never took my wife there. Listen, I don't live near this place. I can't be a regular. It's at least a 45-minute drive to get there. And we ain't in Texas. But I digress. I took my wife to finally get to experience what I have, but there is a small hitch. My wife is severely allergic to the antibiotic fed to chicken. Is sulfa based because a majority of people 2/3 of those allergic to antibiotics are allergic to penicillin. The other 1/3 are deathly allergic to sulfa antibiotics. All of a sudden, we became a joke to the staff. Asking where they get their eggs for her safety was a joke. The waitress asked what kind of potatoes she wanted with the chicken fried steak, and she said none and asked for fruit instead of eggs. Because the eggs could put her in the hospital or kill her. I told the waitress to just put the hashbrowns on the plate, and I would eat them. When "the waitress " asked for the hashbrowns on a separate plate, the 5 year old cook, names Chris, decided he would make fun of my wife. He talked shit about her and cried boohoohoo within earshot. What a jerk. I even yelled in the restaurant, "I can actually hear you all the way out here." We ate our food. I paid my bill and fairly tipped my waitress. But, I will make this review. We are simple working class people. We are not rich in any way. I value where my and my friends' money goes. And it won't go here. I made my post to tell people and friends to avoid this place because they are not good people. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $10–20 Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
