Ordered eggs Benedict, both eggs were like snot on the bottom so we asked for them to be remade, the elderly lady with short grey hair came over and gave us our money back for breakfast. I stated we would have liked them remade as they were undercooked, I asked if they could just cook the eggs fully so the egg whites were firm as it was like slime on my plate to which she said they would be sent out the same and suggested we take our money back,. At this point she told me she was a chef and had cooked eggs like this since she was 18 so maybe 40 years, her attitude was absolutely terrible and left myself and partner in disbelief and shock really, ruined our morning and my partner in tears in the car as we left, unknowingly to her I myself am a chef and I’d have never sent the food out undercooked, regardless of that her attitude was outright rude and I can’t believe that’s how should would treat another person especially a customer. Dear Dean, Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding your recent visit to our Hamilton Store. …Dear Dean, Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding your recent visit to our Hamilton Store. We were sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your breakfast again, and that you felt our staff member was rude and had a poor attitude. We have spoken to all our Management team now, including the shift manager in question, as well as having received an email from another regular customer regards this and specifically defending our team member, so we do feel well informed. Let us start by saying, that it is quite offensive in this day, to feel the need to state “the elderly lady” or have a guess at an age, or even mention it at all These comments upset our team member and were entirely not necessary. Simply providing a date and time of your visit, can help most establishments recognise exactly who their staff members were, on which shift. We hope that helps you, and that if you do decide to visit our establishment again, you can find it in your heart to apologise to the member in question and explain that this wasn’t done on purpose. Re the complaint itself .We can confirm that our shift manager remembered serving you and your wife quite well She was also aware that you were a chef, as you had mentioned this, during your visit. She also confirmed that she remembers well that when you visited the store previously, you were also unhappy with “our egg process” despite her trying numerous times to perfect It for you. Hence why this time, she simply offered you a refund, rather than repeat what she did previously. She confirmed that she adhered exactly to our company merrychef cooking procedures, and our checking of the systems, confirms this. Our cooking processes use the latest technology , and we can confirm that she cannot make eggs “any other way” as everything is programmed. We can also confirm that we served many poached eggs in this exact way in Hamilton on that day, by the same member, and all other customers left happy. Unfortunately it appears that your “style of egg preference” cannot be met within our coffee shops and so would suggest you go to a “restaurant” for your specific style of eggs next time where they may be better suited to assist you. We do thank you for bringing this to our attention so that we could respond to your comments. Dnisi Coffee CompanyMore

I have a disability, I use 2 crutches, I was going to have my nails done so I wanted a coffee to take, I asked for a takeaway and asked if I could have a paper bag to wrap my cup in so I could carry it to my appt, I have did it before, its just ways I have learnt while both hands being full with walking aids, i was told no...I explained why, still she said no, now this is the 2nd time I have been embarrassed in front of staff and customers, not all members of the public who use dnisi are able bodied, its a disgraceful way to be treated, if that's how we are treated then I suggest they put up a sign to say disabled not catered for.
