The Japanese cuisine is nice at this restaurant. Good pork chops, cutlets and katsudon will impress you at the first bite. The knowledgeable staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. The fast service is something these restaurateurs care about. The calm atmosphere gladdens visitors and attracts more clients. But DONTO has been rated below average by Google.

On Donto Day, I got the loin cutlet set meal, which normally costs 1,280 yen, for 880 yen. The cutlet was soft and delicious. There were two types of dressing that came with the table, but both were sesame-based...the dressing containers were unlabeled and in the same container. Instructions for the dressing were written on a piece of paper placed behind it. However, it seems that the container of dressing had been changed at the table where I was sitting, so I ended up putting on the garlic-flavored sesame dressing that I didn't want to choose, resulting in a very disappointing meal. I was wondering if I should talk to the store clerk, but I left without being able to do so. This was my first time using Shigenobu's Don, but I thought they could use some ingenuity with the dressing container. The local donto I always use had creamy green perilla dressing and sesame dressing...I wonder if it has regional characteristics? Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1–1,000
