I think a lot of people in Mayfair are missing out on this hidden gem, nestled inside the Mandarin Oriental Mayfair. We visited to celebrate my friend's bridal shower, and since we're all in our 30s, we decided to spend the afternoon day clubbing from 3pm to 8pm. What better way to kick off the celebrations than with an amazing lunch? We started with a few dishes to share: the burrata, salmon, truffle pizzetta, tomato gazpacho, and octopus. The burrata was fresh and light, and the truffle pizzetta was delicious, but my two standout starters were the gazpacho and the octopus. The tomato gazpacho was the perfect starter after walking around London on a warm summer day. It was light, refreshing, had just the right kick, and really awakened the palate. The octopus is an absolute MUST. Even if you're not a seafood lover, give it a try. It was, without question, the most tender octopus I've ever had—perfectly cooked, incredibly moist, and it literally melts in your mouth. It's the kind of dish you'll still be thinking about days later. For our mains, we had the salmon with risotto, the skirt steak, broccolini, and their chips. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. The biggest surprise, however, was the aubergine. I'm not usually an aubergine fan, and even my mother-in-law said she'd always found it bland. But this dish completely changed our minds. The flavours were incredible, proving that aubergine can be the star of the plate when prepared by talented chefs. Considering the quality of the food, impeccable service, and elegant setting, it offers fantastic value for money. A huge thank you to Harald, Sangho, Ly, and especially Chef Paolo Sanapo for taking such great care of us. We loved hearing the story behind the dishes directly from the chef, which made the experience even more special. We'll definitely be back. If you're looking for exceptional food, warm hospitality, and a memorable dining experience in the heart of Mayfair, this place deserves a visit. Kudos to the whole team!
