Drakar is in a prime location in Piriápolis, and I would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re visiting the area. On a nice day, sitting outside and enjoying the beautiful sea view makes the experience even better. We ordered the Fish of the Day menu, which included a main course, a side dish, dessert (flan), and a glass of wine. The value for money was excellent, and I felt it was reasonably priced. The mussels were the highlight of the meal—fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The fish was good, although a bit basic for my taste, but still enjoyable. The restaurant is associated with Garzon Vineyard, so it’s a great place to try some local wine. Another standout was the fresh orange juice. Sipping it while sitting in front of the sea was one of the best parts of the experience—it tasted incredibly fresh and refreshing. Although I haven’t tried many dishes from the menu yet, several plates served to other tables looked fantastic. Based on what I saw, I would love to return and try more of their seafood and other specialties. While the food I ordered was more of a 3/5 for my personal taste, the location, atmosphere, service, and overall value make Drakar worth visiting. I will definitely be back for another meal. I had the Completa (mixed vegetable salad with lettuce, tomato, potato, egg, green beans, onion, and hearts of palm), without onion. Fresh and very filling. My friend ordered the Salmón a la plancha (grilled salmon) with rice. A small but important detail: my friend has a lactose intolerance, and when we realized the dish had a bit of butter and mentioned it, they immediately replaced it without any issue. Service was friendly, portions were great, and prices were fair. A lovely luncheon with my daughter today. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. Great wine selection and an extensive menu. Our meals were delicious and they assisted with a vegana modification with ease. The view is magnificent from the warm and beautiful dining room and I am looking forward to dining outdoors when the season changes. I will be visiting often. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
