The best food and the cheapest in pur stay. Plenty of gluten free options and also very tasty. The staff is professional and well informed. As a matter of fact throughout our stay in lucca and pisa the restaurant staff were absolutely professional so a big kudos to all the people that are proudly doing their job. The sevice was also quite fast, there was a guitarist in the amphitheatre, nice vibe. Even if it is not AIC certified you can eat here no worries if you are a celiac. A big thank you to the staff. When in Lucca one has to try to eat at one of the restaurants in the old charming Piazza dell'anfiteatro.Trattoria Pizzeria Da Gherardo Lucca was our first choice and we were very satisfied. Food was wonderful and wine as well.This restaurant had the most wonderful and sweet waiter.He made us really feel welcome to Lucca and gave us many good tips to where to go.
