Amazing homemade pasta and gnocchi. The waiters are friendly and have great suggestions. The white wine was glorious. If you want excellent pasta for a fair price this is a place to go. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €10–20

We ended up trying Ristorante Pinseria Da Massi because the place we originally wanted to go had a long line, and this spot looked cozy so we decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was exemplary! More than anything, this place made us feel like family. We are visiting from the USA and although I studied Italian for 7 years, it had been a long time since I had really used it. Our waiter, Stefano, was funny, kind, and everything you would want in a waiter. He spoke with me in Italian and made me feel comfortable and truly like part of the family. That meant a lot to me. Now for the food. It was excellent across the board. The bufala e basilico pizza was incredible, and we all agreed it was the best pizza we’ve had in Rome. The supplì was spectacular, and the gnocchi con pesto was just as delicious. The house white was excellent and such a great deal at 1L for 10 euro. The Nutella cheesecake was the perfect way to end the meal. We are only in Rome for a few days and want to try many different restaurants, especially with so many great options here, but this is one of the few places that already has us wanting to come back.
