Based on 4 visits. A variety of dishes were excellent repeatedly. Only once was the risotto off the mark with too few mushrooms and greens. Once the pasta was cold on delivery. But all other times outstanding flavor and portions. Desserts are uniformly outstanding as are the heavenly fries. Polite and excellent service. A bit slow when crowded. My wife and I had our first date at Daedalus over 18 years ago, so for our 17th anniversary, we decided to go back for the first time in a long time, this time we brought our daughter. We were greeted by someone I believe is one of the owners. He was warm, welcoming, and set the tone right away. Just a really good start to the night. We started with the calamari, which was cooked perfectly, and the blackened shrimp salad. The shrimp was seasoned really well and cooked exactly right, and the salad was fresh and lightly dressed. For dinner, we had the scallops risotto, the beef gnocchi, and the steak frites. Overall, the food was excellent. If I had one note, it would be that the scallops could have been seared a bit harder, but the seasoning and the risotto still made it a great dish. The beef gnocchi, made with braised short rib, had a lot of flavor, and the steak frites were cooked medium rare as ordered. The fries had a nice crisp with a creamy center. Honestly, there’s nothing negative to say about the food, the atmosphere, or the service. The only small thing is that the beer list felt a bit limited. Outside of that, it was a great experience, and I’d recommend Daedalus to friends and family without hesitation. Price per person: $60–70 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
