I cannot recommend Daigen enough. I came here after it was recommended as a good non-touristy place by my hotel's concierge. The sushi was delicious, very fresh, and the chef, staff, and other patrons were all incredibly welcoming. I felt very at home and very satisfied with the food, and I will definitely be returning when I come back to Kyoto!! Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
