Very convenient location, as it's right in the NC Museum of Natural Science. In previous visits, I had no trouble finding vegetarian fare, but it's even better now. Terrific choices of both entrees and sides--it was hard to choose. I had a sandwich and chose the homemade soup of the day as the side. Excellent! Best yet, most everything (plates, cups) was biodegradable and went into a mulch bin instead of trash. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Large vegetarian selection Vegetarian options: The vegetarian entrees showed real thought and creativity, just like all other items. Dietary restrictions: Our gluten-intolerant visitor had no trouble finding good options.

Got the worst latte ive ever had here today. Tasted and looked like it was like 1/3 water? A bummer for sure.

A convenient FIVE STAR stop at The Daily Planet before touring the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in downtown Raleigh (with toddler). Our lunch consisted of Fish & Chips (crispy flounder, french fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce); Southwestern Caesar Salad topped with fried chicken strips (romaine, parmesan, crispy tortilla strips, avocado, tomato and chipotle caesar); and a PB&J sandwich with fruit cup. The Daily Planet Cafe is locally operated and adjacent to the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. Indoor or outdoor seating is available. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, beer, wine, smoothies and Larry's Coffee. Desserts, too... Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
