Together with Eze The Glocalizer I visited Restaurante Dakar just a few hours before we were flying back home: one of the best decisions we could make! So, as a Ghana gyal, eating Jollof rice outside of my mom’s home is a bit tricky you barb. However, I did hear that Senegalese jollof rice wasn’t even part of the feud that seems to have the rest of the continent in a chokehold. And if Restaurante Dakar is the spokesperson for this, I agree. Because listen up, this was hands down the best jollof rice I’ve eaten outside of my mom’s home. It was similar to how she makes it and my mom’s jollof rice is the best in the world. Fr fr. Eze had the Chicken Yassa and wasn’t even able to focus on anything else but the food lol. For drinks we had the baobab juice and bissap! Baobab juice is for creamy lovers and the bissap for fresh fruity lovers. I’m a little sad that this restaurant is in Madrid and not closer to me cause I’d be a regular. The owner is friendly and Eze and him hit it off immediately. Beautiful to see.
