We stopped by for cake and coffee. It is a sweet place for a large slice of cake and an ok coffee but it is tightly packed in. Given it is nearly €13 for a slice of cake and a hot drink - it is not super expensive but not cheap either given the number of Boulangeries around that you can get a decent cake at for a third the price. Felt very touristy, a bit of a tourist trap. I'm glad I went, but wouldn't go back.

Concernant votre remarque sur les prix, un salon de thé avec service à table ne peut pas être comparé à une boulangerie tournée vers la vente à emporter. L’expérience sur place, le temps que l’on y passe et le service font pleinement partie de ce que nous proposons.Notre espace peut également semblé exigu car nous sommes installés dans une bâtisse ancienne dont nous avons souhaité préserver la structure. Our visit to Dame Cakes café in Rouen was nothing short of spectacular, especially when it came to their pastries and tea. The standout feature of our experience was the service provided by our waitress, Laurie. She was not only helpful with the menu but also spoke amazing English, which was incredibly accommodating for us as tourists. Laurie went out of her way to ensure we had a great experience, embodying the warmth and hospitality that makes a place memorable. The pastries and sweets we indulged in were divine, perfectly complemented by the excellent tea selection. Dame Cakes is undoubtedly a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality treats in a welcoming atmosphere.
