After looking at Boy Scout Monument, have a meal at Dampa sa Timog. Filipino food will be what you are offered to taste at this restaurant. Perfectly cooked crabs, prawns and sinigang can be what you need.

The atmosphere of hospitality of Dampa sa Timog highly depends on the staff, that is cute here. You will appreciate average prices.

Me and my cousins first time trying this place and it was awesome. Got seated immediately and ordered 2 of there mix batch of seafood. The food was great and very flavorful but i felt skimped on the amount that was served. They have an upstairs and downstairs dining area with a lounge / bar area outside. Next time i come back to the Philippines i will definitely give this place another try!

Very humid area and they switch and bate you with the prices that they have posted from the actual price if the food that you have them cook for you. They do not allow you to choose your seafood and they in turn cook it. They charged extra if you decide to dine in one of their air conditioned rooms located on the second floor but the cost of the food. The smell of the place is not pleasant but it's bearable enough. I was told that the beat place to get great experience with Dampa food is the original location in Paranaque. I will NOT EVER RETYRN TO THIS PLACE AGAIN NOR WILL I EVER WASTE MY MONEY IN THIS PLACE AGAIN. Not recommended.

Here in the metro, the "Dampa" restaurants offer a unique dining experience. Instead of the conventional restaurant where you simply sit down and order your dishes from the menu, in a Dampa restaurant you are first supposed to shop for your own fresh seafood and meat at the adjacent wet market. You then turn these over to the restaurant staff, and decide how you want them to be prepared. The point of this exercise is to let you determine just how premium you want your ingredients to be: you can splurge on the plumpest prawns or the fattest deep sea crabs without being charged a surplus. Instead, you only pay for the 'paluto' fee. I would say that the name of this restaurant, Dampa sa Timog, is rather misleading because unlike the other Dampa hubs near MOA and Ortigas, Dampa sa Timog does not have an adjacent wet market where you can shop for your ingredients. Instead, the place simply features several carinderia-style establishments where you order from the typical restaurant menu. Still, the food is reasonably good and priced just right. This place is a good choice if you like the usual pulutan fare like sisig, buttered fried chicken and batter-fried squid. The beer is cheap and cold, and with a group of friends to share it with, you really won't mind dining alfresco.
