Don’t read the bad reviews – this is a typical, authentic Roman restaurant, and that’s exactly what makes it so special. It was packed with locals enjoying dinner alongside tourists, which is always a great sign. The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and fantastic flavours. The pizzas were some of the best we’ve had in Rome, and everything was served hot and full of flavour. The atmosphere was lively, traditional, and full of character, giving us a real taste of Roman dining. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and worked incredibly hard despite how busy the restaurant was. Service was efficient, and we never felt rushed. If you’re looking for an authentic Roman restaurant rather than a tourist trap, Dar Poeta is definitely worth visiting. We had a fantastic meal and would happily come back again.
