Our anniversary celebration at Darbar Restaurant in Montreal turned into a complete disaster, thanks to the disrespectful behavior and utter lack of professionalism exhibited by the owner. Not only were we served the wrong food despite clearly specifying our dietary preferences as Jain, but the owner’s rude demeanor and ego-driven attitude only added insult to injury. It’s clear that the owner believes his establishment’s reputation precedes it, but his ignorance of the power of digital media speaks volumes. In addition to the abysmal service, the restaurant’s ambiance was far from what was advertised, with a shady atmosphere that did not match the glossy photos online. If you love your pretty moments ignore this restaurant. They will make fun of our feelings religion. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

Overpriced for what you get. Service was pushy at first, then you are ignored. Only the $8 naan was worth it. No online menu which is odd. Would not go back.

Not a good experience. Food overpriced, wait staff forgot about us and didn’t refresh our water, owner did not compensate us for chicken bone in meal. Would not return to this place. Poor quality.
