4.5 STARS This place has the best coffee and foot. The menu is so good and it’s such a lovely area. I come here often and I can’t recommend it enough. I came yesterday for a coffee and a lovely man made it for me and it was the best coffee I’ve had in ages. I came again today, a girl was there, she looked a little unhappy and was a bit blunt. My coffee was PIPPING hot I couldn’t even hold the cup for the first 15 mins. My coffee was burnt and I was a bit disappointed. Other than that. I really love this place Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: A$1–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Mushroom Breakfast

Great service and food, great tasting coffee too, again, can praise the staff enough, especially when they remember your name and make you feel so welcome everytime EDIT Not the same cafe with the new owners, the owner, who I think his name is "Sam" and the woman "Nat" who works behind the counter are extremely rude and unpleasant, I actually feel sorry for the staff that work there as I have heard them being so rude and disrespectful to their staff, it's no wonder that there is such a high turn over of staff there, I will not be returning to this cafe as a customer Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

We have not been to Dark Horse on the Brit to dine in, for some time due to lockdown. We have noticed a decline in quality of food and service.Upon being seated we waited 20 minutes, to be served only after several attempts to attract the waiters and owners attention.When we received the food, it was of poor quality, missing ingredients, cold and presentation was grim. We had to cancel the last coffee order as we were about to pay our bill, as it had not been made yet.When we enquired about the last coffee order, the staff were flippant, did not seem to care.Overall we found the attitude of the staff very poor, they were unfriendly and rude.It is very unfortunate as Dark Horse was a place we thoroughly enjoyed coming to and to eat at however we will not be going back.I understand the hospitality industry is severely understaffed, however this had more to do with attitude driving poor service.
