We were rudely interrupted by a waitress who told us that she had been watching us eat and noticed that we had eaten some of the noodles from our 2 girls' bowls. We had taken up the student upsize for noodles. She insisted that we pay an extra $3 because she said that those meals can only be eaten by our girls.

When we went to pay the bill we indicated that we weren't willing to pay the additional cost. She told us not to come back. We had the same thought anyway!

Daruma Ramen Lunn Ave opened in 2020. As a ramen shop, it's very spacious and I'm happy that it's open for 7 days. There's plenty of parking, so you won't have any problems. The prices of the dishes are generally reasonable and very good for everyday use. I have a lot of opinions about the taste, but considering the price, this is probably it. My personal recommendations are Spicy Miso Tonkotsu Ramen and Original Chicken Karaage. Gyoza is not good. The staff is pleasant and the service is great. Water and hot water are self-service.

If I could give less than one star I would, I got food poisoning from this restaurant (by the sounds of the reviews not the first time this has happened). I emailed to let them know rather than leaving a review, no response and when I rang the store they seemed to think it was funny that I wouldn't be coming back.
