Dave's hot chicken had queues out of the door when they first opened, so I thought that this had to be something special. What you get though seems to be the sort of meal you make quickly after a night out, with no thought of what you're actually doing, just slapping together ingredients you had left over because you forgot to do the shopping. What I liked about it, the quality of the chicken was pretty good, juicy and a decent size and the chips reminded me of the sort of crinkle cut oven chips that everyone had in the 90's/early 00's. The seasoning for the chicken, well it's like those takis crisps, so heavily seasoned that it tastes dusty before you get flavour. It doesn't seem like the spices were really thought out, almost as if someone rocked up after a night out dumped a load of spices onto a plate and rolled the chicken in it. The milkshake, don't waste you money. And to top it all off, what seems to be their unique selling point because I have seen boring milkshakes, I have seen over seasoned chicken but I have never seen an establishment serve each chicken with a slice of cheap flimsy white bread, the sort that gets stuck to the top of your mouth after each bite.
