Food is great, service is really hit or miss depending on the day or time. I’ve pre-ordered (3+ hours in advance) and have still waiting almost an hour for food. I’ve also placed an order in store and waited that time. Recently, it’s seemingly improved a bit and I’ve had orders waiting for me at the requested pickup time. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Very disappointing experience. We ordered Dave’s Chicken after driving over 400 miles, expecting a good meal. Instead, we received very few pieces of chicken and mostly French fries. The chicken was also extremely salty—so salty that we couldn’t even eat it. If the restaurant is close to closing or running low on food, please don’t take customers’ orders. After driving more than 400 miles, we ended up having to get coffee and find another place for dinner. Very frustrating and disappointing experience. Update: Jorge from Dave’s Hot Chicken reached out to me and was very helpful in resolving the issue. I appreciate his response. Thank you for taking care of it. We are longtime Dave’s customers in NJ and will continue to enjoy Dave’s. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1 Order type: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $40–50
