Generally a big fan of Corona. Usually deal with the Orlando store, but I'm in Tampa for work and WAS excited to check out the store here! Let me start with this...as par for the course with Corona the store and the bar are BEAUTIFUL and wonderfully stocked with everything you could want and probably more. So as I walked in, I was greeted with a seemingly friendly guy working the front counter. Just a pleasant hello. No, "can I help you find anything" or anything or the sort. This is FINE! I don't want to be followed by some hawkish floor person as I'm browsing. So I don't expect or even WANT anything more than a simple "hello!" BUT... Here's where Corona looses three stars. I browsed and picked out $200 worth of smokes. I get to the register, and again the same guy is INITIALLY pleasant. Rings me up and here's when it goes south.  The tip screen pops up, wanting me to give a minimum of $10 for a tip.  For WHAT?? Did the guy craft or pour me a drink? Did he ask if I had any questions or do ANYTHING other than ring me up? It's not just Corona. It seems that everywhere you go from Best Buy to the coffee shop on the corner has set up their POS systems to make you feel like you're OBLIGATED to tip, REGARDLESS of service OR LACK THEREOF! And even more (apparently) provides  the staff of these establishments with a sense of thinking that they're ENTITLED to being given a tip without even extending the most BASIC level of service! So I'm supposed to give this guy a MINIMUM of a $10 tip on a $200 purchase for doing nothing more than saying hello and then ringing me up?? Yeah, I'm all set.  And this is coming from a guy that is habitually a VERY generous tipper! But I tip with reason! Not because the point of sale system tries to make me feel obligated just for swiping my card. And the two star review is NOT simply because of the way Corona's POS system is set up. Let's circle back to that implied feeling of entitlement. As soon as this gentleman saw that I declined the tip? His attitude and pleasantries immediately came to an abrupt halt. He didn't even thank me for my business or even offer me a receipt. Not another word spoken.  I had to ASK for a bag, which he got and handed to me without saying a word. So now I'M the bad guy? Think Corona just lost a long time customer over what shouldn't even be a conversation. Got my cigars. Next time, I'll probably go to the "other guy."

Charged me $20 for a Diet Coke. I splurged and bought a 40 cigar, gave the employee a tip even though all he did was unlock the case that was 6 steps from the cash register where he was standing. He processed the purchase and cut and lit my cigar. I'm sitting outside and 5 minutes later he walks by and I asked if there is a server for outside patrons. He said there is only one inside. I say ok cool, I'll get it myself. Btw, I'm in a wheelchair and so transporting a glass can be a challenge. He says he can get it I say no, he insists. I give him a 20 and he says thanks and walks away. That doesn't seem normal to assume I would be giving a $15 tip on a $5 drink.

Davidoff of Geneva has been renamed.  It's not Corona Cigar Company.  Nothing has changed but the name.  They still have the high quality delicious cocktails, great service, and one of the biggest cigar selection I've ever seen.  I'm not a fan of  smoking cigars but I've been around long enough love the smell of cigars.   There's a lot of seats both inside and out. This is a great place for hanging out with friends or a stop for a bachelor/bachelorette party.  They've got a vibe and once you go you'll know.  The only downside is parking.  They share a parking lot with 5 other restaurants so Friday and Saturday evenings parking is a bit if a chore.
